What was your background prior to joining OC&C?

Before joining OC&C, I spent 3 years working in a variety of roles at a HealthTech start-up, where we were developing AI and IoT devices to monitor the health of elderly people, so that they could remain living safely in their own home. Prior to that I studied Engineering at Oxford University.

What’s your favourite OC&C experience?

Alongside the interesting project work, we also do a lot of fun social activities, my favourite being a long weekend trip to Mykonos with my peer group – 16 of us in a villa in the sun. It’s hard to top that!

What do you like to get up to in your free time outside the office?

If I’m feeling productive, I do sports, play the guitar, read and learn weird skills. But most of the time I like to eat, drink, travel & watch live music.

''I used to (and probably still do) focus a lot of energy on trying to be productive in the traditional sense - getting the most done in the minimum amount of time. I would tell my younger self that being productive is a good goal to have but to redefine productivity as 'being intentional with your time'. Therefore whether I'm working really hard, spending quality time with a friend or playing video games, as long as I'm doing it because I've actively chosen to do so, then that is productive.''
