Pro Bono

OC&C boasts a proud history of putting our skills to work for the benefit of others.  While conscious that we work in a very specific part of the business environment, we have found that the application of our approaches and people can help charities and not-for-profit organisations achieve step changes in their performance.

At the same time we are enriched considerably by the experience of working with this diverse range of organisations. OC&C have a long-standing relationship with Impetus PEF, pioneers in venture philanthropy, through whom we have given strategic due diligence and business planning support to over 20 charities dealing with youth conflict resolution, rehabilitation of prisoners and ex-offenders, and helping those suffering from eating disorders.

In the last 12 months we have worked with IntoUniversity (helping disadvantaged youths access University education), Business In The Community (Corporations employing recently released offenders), Family Nurse Partnership (teenage pregnancy related issues) and helped with the merger of Impetus with the Private Equity Foundation which completed in the middle of 2013 to create a larger and more powerful force in the venture philanthropy arena.

Deutschland rundet auf – Germany rounds their bills up.

A simple concept with powerful results. At checkouts consumers can round their bills up to the nearest ten cents. The difference between the original sum and the final sum is put into an account for the benefit nominated charities. After helping them write the original business plan in 2009, OC&C have continued our involvement by helping adjust the partner fee model as well as refining the partner acquisition model.
